I’ve been wanting to update…

I have been wanting to post but not sure what to post. I’m doing really well and I have drank here and there but nothing repetitive. I am super happy with all my accomplishments however I feel I don’t have that date validation. ( sober dates ) I do go long periods of time without alcohol but I haven’t yet had that mindset for none, yet. I do feel a bit down about that but I keep telling myself how much progress I have made thus far. I’ve really moved mountains and thank you all here for the support. I have a supportive husband however he doesn’t quite understand how hard to get to here was for me. It’s easy for him.

Also-to Sober Veg Mama, I did last Monday document my day and didn’t post due to I thought it was boring…I am also not sure how to ensure she sees this. I think I will post that as it’s in my phone in “notes.” I really liked her idea of getting to know more than just drinking habits.

Have a great evening everyone! The finale of a show I have been watching is on tonight and I intend to eat ice cream and enjoy!

Sounds like a great plan, Jackie. You are indeed doing great! Move in your own direction at your own pace. Keep shining😊

    • Thank you Dwight! I really appreciate all your comments along with your posts! I intend to keep on shining and hopefully I will eventually get to where you are at. ❤️ ☮️ 😃
…I accidentally replied to you in a new comment instead of a direct reply. Not sure how to delete the comment so just adding the reply. 🤦‍♀️

so good to hear from you. So glad you are doing ok with your choices and feel good about them and your accomplishments..Ive often said it’s different for everyone and not a linear path. As ive posted i stopped complete abstinence before and finally am back to it. No one ever knows how it’s gonna go. My BF is festival security ( pre covid) and is talking about getting back to that soon, so who knows with me. My biggest concern has shifted to the cigarette thing and i barely have a though about alcohol at the moment. But , no matter how much i try, i cant see myself as ever being a teetotaler forever. Maybe…it is easier for some , a very hard battle for others..great job!!

    • Thank you Lovie! I really appreciate that! I have heard cigarettes are harder to quit than alcohol! I think you are doing great too! You have been through a lot lately! I have been saying I think I need a new goal/challenge and I have been wanting to work out some. Not a lot as my job is already physical but now that I’m typing this maybe that will keep me going on my healthier mind/body kick. I’m very thankful to have you as a friend! 😍🙌🏻

thanks..i am just considering some things here and will check back in as i process. So glad to have found your blog and be able to interact with you. I find your thoughts and posts helpful and inspiring…thank you so much for everything!

  4. Hi! I always wish there was a personal message feature on here 🙂 Haha most people probably think their days are boring, but I like to do the project because when I go back and read my own it’s fascinating to me how much has changed and how many of the details I’d otherwise forget.
Anyway I think you’re doing great. Progress not perfection. Having people like you who haven’t quit 100% share your stories has helped me tremendously!!

    • Thank you!! I will post that Monday I documented. 😃 Today I did a small workout. I know not to start out big or I will quit doing it. It really gave me a boost this morning and it was only 20 min’s. I think I’ll try to do it each day I can. Keeps me on this healthy kick with spring/summer coming. It makes me feel good to know I am helping others! Thanks for letting me know that, keeps me going strong! 😍🙌🏻

  5. We all have our own paths to follow. No two are exactly the same.
If you and your family are happy, that is what is important.

    • Thank you Wendy! We sure are! I do want to keep making healthy choices all around the board. ( more exercise, better eating…) Best thing I ever did was get that drinking under control. As a mom of 2 girls I can really see where the phrase “Happy Mom, happy home” came into play! Very thankful for you!

I definitely don’t think you should feel down about it. If what you are doing is working for you, then that’s great. No need for us to all be the same!! ❤️

I 100% don’t think you should worry. I wish I could’ve more like you and drink here and there, only occasionally. It’s a much healthier attitude to drinking than I ever had! I kind of envy it. I love posts about people’s days and what they’ve been up to. We don’t have to always go on about drinking and sobriety and high brow thinking … I too find it difficult to know what to write in posts! You are brilliant and indeed you are doing brilliantly 😄😄❤️❤️

    • Hi Claire!!! I am really happy right now but do want to keep improving. I think I will post that Monday’s post. I wrote it out and took pics too, just have to put it all together. I did a 20 minute living room workout I made up myself this morning. I really felt good after it! Planning on keeping that going whenever I can! ( some mornings with horse feeding and such I get behind.) I really value your friendship, advice and encouragement! ❤️

I think all your ‘horse’ care must burn a fair few calories and tone up those muscles!!! I’m very sedentary if I don’t force myself to walk, run, cycle or do yoga. ❤️❤️

      • Funny thing is I have had all my horse chores for so many years, my body is accustomed. Sure sometimes it’s more, especially when the snow melts and I’ve tried to keep abreast and find many more that were covered but…I think my body needs some good runs, especially outside!

As long as you’re making more healthy choices (mentally, physically, spiritually) than unhealthy choices, your moving in the right direction. Xx

    • Thank you Collette! I sure am and want to keep moving in that direction. Seems to be taking a bit longer for me but my family and house is better, with me better! Very encouraging! Thank you for your comment!! ❤️
