For the first time, in a long time I had a weekday off. I am very excited about this! The farrier came this morning ( he gets that service for free thankfully! ) so I fed my horse, put his halter on and left him inside. Then I was home to go back over when he left to let my horse out. It was quite a snow squall then! ❄️
I came home and had breakfast and sat down with my puzzle ( The Shining ) I so wanted to make some headway on. I was so happy about that.
I then cleaned my closet and went through all the Goodwill clothes to give away. 4 whole trash bags full of clothes and a box of misc stuff. 👍🏻
Then I heavy cleaned my daughters 3 fish tanks. She’s at college and they needed it. I am not fond of that job as it’s scraping all the sides, cleaning filters, washing everything decorative inside the tank….etc…but after 2 hours they look fabulous!!
Then dinner and such but I marinated two different kinds of chicken breasts for later in the week. I took a picture of the chicken in my fridge ( it’s my back room fridge) as it made me chuckle all the sparkling waters and regular waters and also the kids lost the top to my white vinegar, now that’s a use for a wine stopper!! 😃
Finally fed my bunnies, showered and cleaned up the kitchen. Sooooo I am just jotting this all down as I feel very accomplished today. In the old days I would definitely have celebrated a day off a little differently! Now to chill on the couch and watch some 📺.

I have totally looked into that! I already have a sweatshirt! 🤣 If I went I would have to plan ahead as I would want to stay in room 217 where Steven King stayed in 1974. I hear it’s quite popular! ( Although I read the 4th floor is the most haunted ) The hotel looks beautiful and I read they even installed a hedge maze like in the novel. When Steven King stayed there the season was winding down and he and his wife were the only 2 guests. They were the only ones that had dinner in the grand dining room that night. He had a drink at the bar by a guy named Grady ( like in book ) and came back to his room and had a nightmare his 3 year old son was being chased through the corridors, screaming. He woke up and started writing and the staple of The Shining was written. Pretty cool! ….Can you tell I am a real nerd for this book…. 🤓🤓🤓😂

Thanks Claire! This house seems to have never ending chores to do! I love my Saturday night Netflix binge nights! I plop on the couch, binge shows and snack!
