Last couple of weeks…

Monday was my Birthday. I turned 47. I worked two jobs and my husband did bring home calzones for dinner. They were yummy. My daughters always make me a card. I love Gordon Ramsay so this card was great!

Unfortunately on my Birthday the results were in both my parents have COVID. They are mid 70’s. Dad has so far had mild symptoms, mom has Been hospitalized and home today. Shes got zero energy, sleeps a lot, low blood pressure and not an appetite. It worries us all. Dad keeps us updated. Hopefully it doesn’t go to her chest as she has COPD.

I recently had Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) removed from my forehead. The one by my eye had spread out quite a lot under the skin. They wanted a surgeon to take it out as it is close to my eye. It’s healing well, $2,000 in the hole on that.

Lastly my 16 year old made 2 loaves of amazing banana bread! I love that she likes learning to cook/bake!! My 18year old that’s a freshman in college just received an email this week. She’s officially on the Dean’s List! Very proud as she’s taking some tough classes! She received a nice scholarship from her college for their accelerated program to get her Masters in 4 years, so a different workload than most….but will be so worth it! 😃

Some good news, some not so good news but I keep plugging along. Thanks everyone for all your inspiration in all topics of life!

Jackie

sorry to hear about your parents…we are hearing it a lot more here, and closer to home as well.. But thank you for the positivity too! sounds like you are doing well ..kudos!

    • Hey thanks Lovie! I overall really am doing well. It certainly hit my mom worse than my dad but she’s not one to give up if she has a say in it! Lol I am really enjoying your posts with all your goals! Inspires me to keep making my own!

That was an intense week. No fun at all getting something “removed” and going through that process. So many emotions go along with it and than worrying about your mom. Big hugs, Jackie, and happy belated birthday. I see you smiling, but make sure you pause and do some loving within. 🤗

    • Thank you so much Dwight! I’m having coffee and a English muffin with peanut butter on it this morning and reading this. I’m so happy it’s Friday and I don’t work this weekend. I think this weekend I will try to make a dent in my puzzle. It’s now getting hard and time consuming but I know I will be happy when I do sit down with it! Thank you for the birthday wish and hug! I sure hope you have a great weekend as well my friend!! 😃 🧩 ☕️

I’m so sorry to hear about your parents! May they recover quickly!! So glad you got that tumor out!! And it’s great news about your daughter. You must be so proud! Happy belated birthday, Jackie!

    • Thank you so much!! Mom called quickly last night and it was great to hear her voice. If it stays out of her chest, I think she will make it through this. ❤️ ( She’s got COPD ) I’m going to drop off some food they need tomorrow. I am super proud and thanks for making me smile! 😃 Hope you are having a great weekend!

  6. Jacquelyn, Happy Birthday! 🎈🎈🎈

Happy belated birthday lovely. Amazing mothering and keeping on. Lots of love to you ❤️❤️❤️

  9. So sorry to hear about your parents, it is terribly stressful! Hope your mom is doing better. Love your tattoos, I think you look younger than I do at 38!! Vanity certainly can be a motivation for giving up the booze!

    • Thank you!! You are so correct, my skin is so much better without that daily drinking! I’m happy you like all my tattoos! I haven’t gotten any new in years. ( money goes to kids these days! ) Mom is back in the hospital with pneumonia currently. She is getting better there though! Thanks for asking!
